My gut answer to this is no. I tend to think that a refi on my home mortgage for 30 years to consolidate a 4 -5 year auto loan only extends my payments and in another 5 years or so I will have to get another auto. Would a 2nd mtg or line of credit for the auto loan be wiser?

Hey What Sup Guys! Ok, I’m Not Trying To Be Funny Or Joking Around, I Really Need Help. I Got This Problem With This Auto Shop That Is Fixing My Car. I Wanted To Drop A 93 LS Integra Motor Into My 91 Civic HB But He Is Taking WAY TO LOONNGG. I Provided Him With Everything To Make This Swap Fast And Easy As Possible, Well Everything Beside A Pair Front Hubs Which He Promise To Get And He Did. So It Been Since 03.03.07 And Still They Cant Get The Swap Right. I Kind Of Mad So I Reported Them To BBB (Better Business Bureau) But Even BBB Cant Get Them To Do Much About It. So I Want To Sue Them Real BAD! Please Guys, I Went Through Hell With My Parents, Peers, Getting To Work On Time, Outing Out With My GF Because Of This Problem.
So What I Hope To See Is A Some-What Step By Step To Suing. What Do I Need To Be Ready And Look For? If Needed To Know… I Live In South Of California.
Hmmm… Base On My Understanding, The Contract Really Don’t Say Nothing Useful For Them Or Me… Basely It’s A Order Form, And Also That Is The Only Thing I Had To Sign. On The Other Hand… I Didn’t Want To Bore You Guys With The Problem As Much, So I Didn’t Go In-depth With Their Process.
So Last Tuesday I Went To Check It Out And They Told Me To It Was Done And Everything Is Good To Go. I Was REALLY HAPPY To Think I Was Going Drive Home Instead Of Taking The Bus Back (A 2Hrs Commute), But Anyway I Got There… The First Thing I Check Was The Engine, It Seem Fine But When I Got Inside Of The Car… It Look Like CRAP The Whole Dash Board Was Crooked, The Steering Column Was Lose, My Clutch Was Way To Easy To Push Along With My Brake (Lose). When I Turn It On, It Sound Great But When I Did That, You Know B4 You Drive Test (Check The Lights,Mirror,Seat Belt,Etc…) The Turn Signal Wasn’t Working And I Tried Turning The Wheel And Everytime I Turned The Wheel Left, It Turn On The Wind Shield Wiper On And Off After Turning The Wheels Back To Straight. So I Check Out The Fuses Spot And It Look SO GROSS! Like A Rat When In There And Chew And Ate Wires For Fun. I Felt Unsafe! I Told Them About It And All They Can Say That “This Swap Is Hard And We Will Try To Fix It…”

from the person who damaged my car, is the insurance company obligated to pay the deductible to an auto body repair shop, or am I allowed to receive the amount and replace the part(s) myself (and save labor costs)?
The person who hit me did not have insurance, but the insurance company is collecting my deductible from them (which I normally would have to pay myself under “uninsured motorist coverage”).

There currently are two main domestic auto makers owned and operated in the US. Not too long ago there was three. However, Chrysler was bought by Daimler. With recent set backs to the “big two”, Toyota and Honda have been making a play to become the top auto makers in the US. Do you think this is a long term negative for the US? The United States dominated the auto industry for decades and many other industries. Is that dominance being lost? What if the remaining US auto makers go bankrupt and the US is left with Toyota, Honda, and Daimler? Is Amerca stronger when it’s citizens work in factories for foreign companies? Or is America stronger when Americans work for American owned and operated companies?
