I live in Prairieville and we got it pretty bad too. Lots of shingles flew off our roof and we lost most of our trees. It was absoutly miserable without power for 2 weeks! Esp. in the 90 degree heat.

We lived in South Baton Rouge and after Gustav we sold our home and left.Tired of the hurricanes and the threat of evacuation and possibly not being able to keep my dog.We lived without power for 8 days and were lucky to have water and sewer. It was miserable with 90 degree days and no airconditioning. We stood in lines for batteries at the lowes and curfews to make sure everyone stayed home.Survived Katrina,Rita,Ike and Gustav glad to see another day.
